Cupertino Alliance cabinet undergoes personnel changes days from election

Just days away from the August chairmanship election, set to be held between the 9th and 11th of August, the Cupertino Alliance has seen several changes within its cabinet. 

In a surprise announcement, the longstanding Minister of Asian and Oceanic Affairs, Daniel Hamilton of Australis, announced that he would be stepping down from the role after over 8 months in office. This resignation has resulted in Deputy Minister of Asian and Oceanic Affairs and election candidate Dhrubajyoti Roy of Vishwamitra taking office. Following Roy's succession, Jayden Dagsa of Novus Hierosolymis was appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Asian and Oceanic Affairs.

In addition to these developments, a proposal was tabled in the 113th session on the 30th of July to remove Leon Montan from his position as Minister of Membership Attainment, however some delegates have criticised leaving the motion to remove Montan until so late, with the Honourable Delegate for Revalia, Sander Koff, stating:

"I think it's pointless to remove him now, as the removal should have happened a lot earlier."

Several other delegates have come out in approval of the proposal despite the fact that the current administration will expire on the 15th, and thus Montan's position in cabinet. In order to fill the gap that would be left by Montan's removal as Minister of Membership Attainment, Daniel Hamilton came forward and stated his willingness to succeed Montan.

Daniel Hamilton is being touted by both campaigns as the likely pick for the position of Minister of Membership Attainment following the election, with candidate Larry Martin stating:

"...You're [Daniel Hamilton] the most experienced applicant for it [Minister of Membership Attainment] right now so it seems like you'll get the role if we win the election."

In addition, Hamilton has been active within the Roy-Mullins campaign, in which he has developed detailed plans for reforms to the Ministry of Membership Attainment.

EDIT (3 August 2021): Leon Montan has been removed as Minister of Membership Attainment with 19 votes in favour, 3 votes against and 4 abstentions. Daniel Hamilton has been appointed as the new Minister of Membership Attainment by Chairman Ross.

Commemorating the Queen - Daniel Hamilton

FROM THE OFFICE OF DANIEL HAMILTON, GRAND DUKE OF AUSTRALIS 9 September 2022 I am sure that many will have heard the news already. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has regrettably passed away at the age of 96. For 70 years and 214 days, she reigned over the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations, longer than any other British Monarch. I was extremely saddened to learn of this news this morning. For now, we must come together and remember Her Majesty. We must remember the positive impact that she had on the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the world as a whole.
