Australis is back, with some big changes!

On the 3rd of January, 2023, Australis returned to the greater micronational community - With some changes. The Grand Duchy is no more - The nation is now known as the Second Commonwealth of Australis, and its leader, Daniel Hamilton, is now the President of Australis. In this article, we see how some of these changes have been made, and why Hamilton has decided to implement these changes. On the 8th of April, 2020, Australis was founded as the Commonwealth of Australis, with the goal of creating a model society for how societies should be, embodying fairness, justice, and equality as the main principles guiding its development. Over time, however, this mission became shrouded by the growing globalisation of the nation, being exposed to the online micronational community, until the nation became a monarchy with an absolute ruler. In the year that the nation has been missing from the community, newly styled President Hamilton has decided to bring about a number of changes to return Aus

Commemorating the Queen - Daniel Hamilton

FROM THE OFFICE OF DANIEL HAMILTON, GRAND DUKE OF AUSTRALIS 9 September 2022 I am sure that many will have heard the news already. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has regrettably passed away at the age of 96. For 70 years and 214 days, she reigned over the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations, longer than any other British Monarch. I was extremely saddened to learn of this news this morning. For now, we must come together and remember Her Majesty. We must remember the positive impact that she had on the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the world as a whole. I encourage leaders of other nations to declare periods of national mourning and/or commemoration, even if she was not a significant figure within your nation. To the future, we must soon look. Charles III is now the Head of the Commonwealth, and King of the United Kingdom. I put my faith in him to continue the legacy that Queen Elizabeth II started, 70 years ago. God Save the King. Daniel Hamilton

Hamilton's 16th - A Brief Update

The world's sexiest micronationalist, Daniel Hamilton, has just turned sixteen years of age. Hamilton, who remains on a semi-permanent hiatus from the MicroWiki community, has this to say on this wild day. "Hello all, I'm doing alright. I'm still not going to be back any time soon, but I am well, and filling my time with F1 Sim Racing. Regardless, Australis will be back upon my eventual return. Long live Australis!"   If anybody would like to get into contact with Hamilton, please relay any messages via Liam Alexander.

Parliamentary Betrayal - Gladden ousts McPhail as PM of Australis, Conservative majority achieved

Australissian politics have been rocked in recent days as a result of a historic betrayal in the House of Commons. On August 15th, the nation was shocked to discover that recently appointed Deputy Prime Minister Tucker Gladden had changed his party allegiance to the Conservative Party of Australis and had proposed a Motion of No Confidence against Rory McPhail, the incumbent Prime Minister of Australis. This motion to oust McPhail succeeded, meaning that Tucker Gladden has become the nation's new Prime Minister. Shortly afterwards, McPhail resigned from the House of Commons and relinquished his Australissian citizenship, in a move dubbed as "cowardly" and "selfish" by both the Grand Duke and Mr. Gladden. In several backroom dealings, it is now known that Isaiah Burdette converted several members of the Australissian Loyalist Party to the cause of the Conservative Party, in order to secure a majority in the House of Commons, after which he gave the reins of the p

Cupertino Alliance cabinet undergoes personnel changes days from election

Just days away from the August chairmanship election, set to be held between the 9th and 11th of August, the Cupertino Alliance has seen several changes within its cabinet.  In a surprise announcement, the longstanding Minister of Asian and Oceanic Affairs, Daniel Hamilton of Australis, announced that he would be stepping down from the role after over 8 months in office. This resignation has resulted in Deputy Minister of Asian and Oceanic Affairs and election candidate Dhrubajyoti Roy of Vishwamitra taking office. Following Roy's succession, Jayden Dagsa of Novus Hierosolymis was appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Asian and Oceanic Affairs. In addition to these developments, a proposal was tabled in the 113th session on the 30th of July to remove Leon Montan from his position as Minister of Membership Attainment, however some delegates have criticised leaving the motion to remove Montan until so late, with the Honourable Delegate for Revalia, Sander Koff, stating: "I thi
